Oil & Coal Fired Power Station

Brief project description: We were contracted to carry out the Plant Life Extension Upgrades to control systems and software for an Oil & Coal Fired Power Station.

The original system was based on obsolete Texas Instrument PLC with a physical operator mimic interface. This required a complete upgrade.

An entirely new system was installed based on Siemens TIA portal S7-1500 controller with InTouch Wonderare SCADA front end operator interface. The new soft interface retained the familiar layout and appearance of the redundant hardware to ensure user familiarity and minimise training.
