An exciting new structural evolution with the launch of HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in our journey of growth and transformation.

Effective 1 April 2025, HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd will officially launch, marking the final phase of HF Group’s strategic restructuring. This change is designed to enhance clarity and communication regarding the company’s full range of services across multiple disciplines.

A Legacy of Growth

HF Group first established its Mechanical division nearly two decades ago as part of HF Electrical Ltd. Today, as the company nears the end of the 2024/25 financial year, this division is set to contribute nearly 25% of HF Group’s total turnover—an extraordinary achievement given that its name did not previously reflect the breadth of services it provides.

What’s Changing?

Historically, HF Group’s structure positioned Hugh Fulton (Electrical) Ltd (established in 1952) as a subsidiary of HF Electrical Ltd (established in 1980), which in turn acted as the parent company for:

HF Comms Ltd (est. 1999)

HF Fire & Security Ltd (est. 2022)

Moving forward, Hugh Fulton (Electrical) Ltd will be rebranded as HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd, through which all mechanical and electrical (M&E) services will now be delivered. HF Electrical Ltd will continue as the parent company for HF Comms Ltd, HF Fire & Security Ltd, and the newly established HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd.

Why This Change?

This structural realignment not only preserves HF’s rich history but also ensures better visibility and recognition for its Mechanical Services division. The division has played a pivotal role in the company’s expansion, offering comprehensive solutions in plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The transition acknowledges its contributions while reinforcing HF Group’s commitment to delivering a fully integrated service offering to clients and suppliers.

What This Means for Clients and Suppliers

The transition will be seamless, with minimal impact on existing operations:

Existing trade accreditations, industry standards, and health & safety certifications will remain under the parent company until their renewal, at which point they will be transferred to HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd.

No changes will be made to day-to-day contacts or communication channels.

HF Mechanical & Electrical Ltd remains 100% owned by HF Electrical Ltd, ensuring business continuity and a smooth transition for all stakeholders.

HF Group remains committed to its values of safety, integrity, quality and people, and this latest step ensures the company continues to evolve while honouring its heritage.
