You may have seen the adverts running on television and online but in case you haven’t, there are new fire alarm standards coming into force from February 2022 that will apply to all homes across Scotland.

The new standards require the following:
Minimum of one smoke alarm installed in the most commonly used daytime room of the home.
Minimum of one smoke alarm installed in every circulation room ie. the hallway or landing.
Minimum of one heat alarm installed in the kitchen.
