Why temperature control is important in Care Homes

Heating & Air Conditioning, Information

Temperature control in Nursing Homes and other facilities providing care is vitally important.

As we age, our skin becomes thinner and therefore more susceptible to the cold.  A degree or two temperature change in a room is far more easily detected because of this.  Which is why proper temperature control is so vital in care or nursing homes looking to create a comfortable environment for its residents.

With a temperature effect being felt more greatly through age, combined with less movement ability that helps to generate body heat (because of arthritis, hip replacements etc), having an effective and reliable heating system for residents of a care home is incredibly important.

If residents of a care home have no control of the temperature and are suffering because of a constant feeling of being cold, this can affect their mood, their health and can cause complaints from relatives.  A lack of control over the temperature of the rooms heating can also lead to a feeling of loss of independence.

The older we get, the more susceptible we are to colds, flu and pneumonia.  Heating systems can help to tackle this.

At HF Group, our Heating division can provide a complete heating system designed for Care Homes and their unique needs.

From industrial heating to plumbing systems, air conditioning installation and servicing to domestic plumbing/heating issues, HF Group specialise in all commercial, retail and domestic plumbing, heating and air conditioning services. It is why our customers come back to us again and again.
