Starting 2022 with a bang

2022 has now begun and while the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 pandemic has meant that for many, home working has become ‘the norm’ again, the vast majority of the UK is now back at work in some capacity.

Of course, at HF Group, through our Manned 24 hour Call-out Service, we never truly stopped.  Our team of electrical contractors, mechanical, plumbing and heating engineers and Fire & Security Consultants were on call throughout the festive period ensuring that the various sectors of business in the UK could continue to operate.

But what of 2022 and the opportunities that it brings.  After the COP26 event in Glasgow last year, there is now an increased drive towards green energy solutions and in 2022, we will be seeing growth in this area of our Electrical Division as more and more domestic car owners switch to Electric Vehicles and require EV Charging Points fitted.  While commercial businesses are seeing the marketing potential of having EV chargers fitted to their car parks as a way of increasing foot traffic through the front door.

In the Fire & Security side, Scotland will be seeing new legislation come into effect in February requiring all domestic properties to have interlinked smoke alarms fitted. If you want to know more about this, please click the link below.

The 5G roll out continues with our Telecommunications division HF Comms working to design and install 5G towers across the country while our Automated Controls Division is leading the way with some of the most advanced, bespoke control panel solutions for multiple sectors of industry.
