As September marks Suicide Prevention Month, it is a crucial time to reflect on how we support one another across HF. Mental health is just as vital as physical safety, and our core message to every member of our team is clear: you are never alone, and you never have to face things on your own.
Life brings unexpected challenges, whether it is a single difficult day, a period of burnout, or a burden that has been building up over time. In a fast-paced work environment, it can be easy to push those feelings aside, but nothing you are going through is too heavy to talk about, and nothing is too difficult to ask for help with.
Support Resources Available at HF Group
We are committed to fostering an open, supportive culture where everyone feels safe speaking up. To ensure help is always within reach, we have several initiatives in place across our locations:
- Office Posters & Guides: Look out for posters displayed around our offices highlighting 10 key mental health and crisis support resources.
- Digital Wellbeing Prompts: Our office screens feature regular updates and reminders on mental health awareness, offering quick tips on where to turn for guidance.
- Mental Health First Aiders: We have trained, dedicated Mental Health First Aiders throughout the business. You can reach out to them at any time for a completely confidential conversation.
Looking Out for Each Other
Building a supportive workplace starts with everyday actions. Taking a moment to check in on a colleague, asking how they are truly doing, or simply offering a listening ear can make a world of difference.
“Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help.”
Whether you need support yourself or are concerned about a coworker, friend, or family member, please take a moment to review the available resources. Let’s continue to create an environment where it’s always okay to say, “I’m not okay.”
You matter, your wellbeing matters, and there is always someone ready to listen. Take care of yourselves and each other.
