This membership highlights our dedication to building a highly skilled, socially mobile workforce and elevates us as a leader in championing career development within the UK’s electrical, mechanical, and fire & security sectors.

What Is The 5% Club?

The 5% Club is a dynamic movement of more than 1,100 forward-thinking UK employers united by a shared vision: building a prosperous, socially cohesive nation through “earn and learn” initiatives. Members of The 5% Club commit to having at least 5% of their workforce engaged in earn-and-learn roles, including apprenticeships, graduate training programs, and sponsored student opportunities, within five years of joining.

Collectively, members of The 5% Club:

  • Employ over 1.9 million people.
  • Support 81,000 apprentices, 18,000 graduates on formal schemes, and 9,000 sponsored students.
  • Provide skills-based training to over 108,000 individuals, with members averaging 6% of their workforce in earn-and-learn roles.

This movement reflects a profound commitment to bridging the skills gap and enabling workforce development through practical, skills-based education.
