Glasgow Brain Game Event in support of Marie Curie

Our Latest News

In early October, an HF table attended the 10th annual Glasgow Brain Game which took place amidst the grandeur of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

We are proud to share that the evening raised a record-breaking £136,000 for Marie Curie which will go towards the support of 7 Marie Curie Nurses in Scotland for a whole year.

An evening hosted by BBC Radio Scotland presenter, John Beattie and BBC Scotland weather presenter, Judith Ralston. John and Judith led the evening superbly providing first class entertainment whilst supervising the quiz. Joining them on the night to host the quiz rounds were Roddy Forsyth, Neil Lennon, Janice Forsyth and Matthew McFadyen, with a special appearance from celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli via video.

A bit about Marie Curie

There are 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses working in villages, towns and cities right across the UK, with 330 of those nurses working in Scotland.

In addition to the nursing service, Marie Curie also provides care in their hospices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, delivering the high quality nursing and emotional support for patients and families that are having to cope with terminal illness.
