Congrats to George & Sam for becoming Fire Wardens

Which is why we are delighted to announce that two new members of our Glasgow branch, George and Sam have successfully become certified Fire Wardens.

The fire warden course is designed to provide delegates with both a better understanding of how fires can occur and the related contributing factors involved.  A successfully certified Fire Warden will be able to spot and minimise the risks of fires in the workplace occurring.

To become certified as a Fire Warden, delegates must:

• Gain a solid understanding of corporate and individual responsibilities and the current UK legislation.
• Complete a Fire Risk Assessment
• Create a robust Fire Action Plan
• Gain a solid understanding of fire behaviour
• Learn how to reduce the risks of fire in a business environment
• Understand the key information that Emergency Services will need should a fire break out
• Become familiar with the different types of fire extinguisher
