Rounding Up the HF Health & Wellness Days

At HF Group, we frequently share how our industry moves at a lightning pace and our multi-discipline engineering teams stay incredibly busy. But our recent regional roadshow offered a vital reminder: a company is only as strong as the people keeping it connected.

Last week, we stepped back from the network architecture, plumbing lines, and electrical boards to trade our standard routines for something much closer to home. Across our Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Belfast branches, the HF family came together for our dedicated Health & Wellness Days.A series of events engineered to focus on physical vitality, mental clarity, and genuine mutual support.

Pedal Power and Important Conversations

The energy across all the branches was unmatched. The clear crowd favourite was the legendary Smoothie Bike, which added some fantastic friendly competition to the floor. The concept was simple but highly effective: hop on, pedal hard to power the blender attachment, and mix your own fresh, healthy drink through pure leg power.

But beneath the fun, the laughter and the fruit smoothies lay a far more critical objective: building a culture where open conversation about health and mental wellbeing is completely normal.

Our teams face high-pressure environments out in the field every day. Investing in their physical and mental resilience isn’t a side project for us—it’s an absolute operational priority. Days like this give our squad a chance to pause, clear the air, and look out for one another.

An initiative like this is only as impactful as the experts who help lead it. We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to the incredible group of wellness contacts and community figures who joined us on-site to talk, listen, and interact with our workforce:

• Breaking the Stigma Around Mental Health: A massive shoutout to Sandy Main and Ian Hounsome from Andy’s Man Club. Their life-saving work and vital, peer-led messages about men’s mental health resonated deeply across our branches, reminding everyone that #ItsOkayToTalk.
• Promoting Active Lifestyles: Thank you to Eddie Owen, Olivia Mackie, and Melanie Partington for expertly coordinating with our Manchester team and bringing the professional sporting ethos of Stockport County FC right to our doorstep.
• Inspiring Peak Team Performance: We were privileged to welcome Account Manager Courtney McBain alongside professional players Macenzzie Duncan and Jare Oguntibeju from the Glasgow Warriors, who shared great insights into physical health, longevity, and professional collaboration.
• Fuelling the Fun: A huge thanks to Martin from The Smoothie Bike Co (whose surname we missed, but whose energetic blending instruction was an absolute highlight of the roadshow).

The positive momentum generated across the central belt and the Northwest isn’t slowing down. This week, our health and wellbeing roadshow is hitting the road again, traveling north to bring the exact same blend of energy, interactive fitness, and mental health education to the Aberdeen branch.
