Our Mechanical & Electrical team were exhibiting at P4H Scotland 2026
At HF, we have always believed that the strength of Scotland’s infrastructure lies in collaboration. Yesterday, our Mechanical & Electrical teams had the pleasure of returning to a very familiar venue, the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, not for a maintenance project or a match day, but to take centre stage at P4H Scotland 2026.
Officially supported by NHS Scotland, P4H Scotland is the nation’s premier healthcare procurement event. With the healthcare procurement community in Scotland now worth over £3.6bn annually, the event serves as a vital bridge between public sector buyers and private sector specialists who are “Delivering the Future” of our health service.
HF Mechanical & Electrical & LEC Medical
One of the key highlights of the day was sharing our exhibition stand with the team from LEC Medical.
LEC Medical is extremely proud and honoured to be the UK market leader in medical refrigeration, providing a range of purpose-built products designed for the exacting standards of the healthcare sector. By sharing our stand, we were able to demonstrate the perfect synergy between high-spec medical equipment and the Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure required to support it.
For the visitors to our stand, this partnership offered a “turnkey” perspective: LEC Medical providing the market-leading refrigeration technology, and HF providing the expert installation, power resilience, and maintenance services that keep those critical systems running 24/7.
A Packed House at Murrayfield
The energy at Murrayfield was incredible. Our stand was consistently packed with visitors, ranging from NHS procurement leads to clinical stakeholders and facility managers.
The conversations centered on a singular, urgent theme: How can we modernise healthcare facilities to meet unprecedented demand while staying within budgetary and sustainability targets?
For the HF team, these aren’t just theoretical questions. We shared real-world insights into how our integrated services are supporting healthcare providers:
- Essential M&E Infrastructure: Discussions on high-capacity power distribution and resilient mechanical heating and ventilation systems—the “backbone” of any clinical environment.
- Energy Efficiency: Showcasing how LED lighting upgrades help healthcare trusts reduce their carbon footprint and divert energy savings back into patient care.
- Fire & Security: Sharing the benefits of our Hybrid Fire Alarm systems, which allow for 21st-century addressable protection with minimal disruption to active wards.
Networking with the Leaders of Procurement
P4H Scotland 2026 offered a unique platform to engage with the leaders shaping the future of the sector. It was an honour to hear from speakers such as Gordon Beattie (Director of National Procurement, NHS Scotland) and Christine McLaughlin (COO and Deputy Chief Executive, NHS Scotland).
Networking with colleagues in the procurement community and engaging with partners like LEC Medical allows us to understand the marketplace’s evolving needs and ensure our services are perfectly aligned with NHS requirements.
A Historic Venue, A Modern Mission
Returning to Murrayfield was a poignant reminder of our versatile heritage. While HF has historically handled extensive Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire & Security work for the stadium, our presence there yesterday was firmly focused on the future.
We are proud to be a partner in the healthcare supply chain. The sheer volume of interest at our stand proves that there is a massive appetite for reliable, multi-service contractors who can deliver high-spec installations on time and on budget.
Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
For those we met at Murrayfield yesterday, thank you for making it such a successful day. To our partners at LEC Medical, thank you for sharing the stand and showcasing why you remain the UK’s leader in medical refrigeration.
If you didn’t manage to speak with us during the event, we would love to discuss how our Mechanical & Electrical services can support your next healthcare project. From initial design to 24/7 reactive maintenance, HF is committed to supporting the NHS and the wider healthcare sector across Scotland.
