Our Green Energy EV Installation team recently completed another project in partnership with Connected Kerb to upgrade existing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for South Tyneside Council. The project involved the replacement of existing EV charge points with state-of-the-art Dual Scarab chargers, alongside upgrades to the electrical switchgear and cabling to ensure full compliance with current regulations.
The primary objectives of the project were to replace the outdated EV charge points that were originally fitted in the car park and replace them with new Dual Scarab chargers, which offer enhanced charging efficiency and user-friendly features.
We conducted a thorough upgrade of the existing electrical switchgear and cabling, ensuring that all sites met the latest regulatory standards for safety and performance, delivering a full turnkey package, encompassing planning, civil engineering, and electrical works, ensuring a seamless and efficient upgrade process from start to finish.
Project Challenges: The main challenge with this EV Charging Installation was ensuring that all upgraded installations met current electrical and safety regulations. Our teams expertise in regulatory standards was crucial in overcoming this hurdle.
