Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen is a popular establishment located in Edinburgh. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and just round the corner from the home of Scottish Rugby, the bar attracts a large number of patrons daily. The existing intruder alarm system at Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen was outdated and unreliable, posing a potential risk to the establishment’s security. Certain areas of the premises were not adequately covered by the existing system, leaving vulnerabilities that needed to be addressed and the client desired a modern intruder alarm system that could seamlessly integrate with their existing security infrastructure, including CCTV cameras and access control systems.

Our Fire & Security engineers conducted a comprehensive assessment of the premises and collaborated closely with the management of Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen to develop a tailored solution integrating the new system with the existing security infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and centralised management. We completed the upgrade work on their intruder alarm system within the quoted time to ensure that their staff and premises are protected for the future.

Project Challenges: The main challenge with this intruder alarm upgrade was ensuring that all of the work was completed to a specified schedule working around the 6 Nations Rugby Fixtures. The Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen is a popular establishment for rugby fans both before and after Scotland home fixtures so our work had to be completed around the 2024 fixture list, ensuring no disruption to the business during these peak time periods.
