Our electricians and heating engineers have completed work on the comprehensive M&E fit-out for the refresh of Snaffle Bit Bar in Glasgow. Our experienced electricians meticulously executed a series of critical upgrades, addressing both the immediate needs for the refurbishment and long-term operational efficiency. The electrical scope of work focused on creating a vibrant yet adaptable lighting scheme, alongside essential power infrastructure improvements:

• Advanced LED Lighting Integration: All existing light fittings throughout the pub were comprehensively upgraded to modern, energy-efficient LED lighting. This transformation drastically reduced energy consumption while providing superior illumination.
• Targeted Lighting Features:
  • Existing wall and pendant lighting fixtures were refitted with new LED technology, enhancing their visual appeal and longevity.
  • A striking new LED strip lighting feature was installed to illuminate the bottle steps behind the bar, creating a focal point and adding a contemporary edge to the bar area.
  • Additional new lighting fixtures were strategically fitted across the venue to optimise brightness and atmosphere.
• Kitchen Infrastructure Upgrade: To accommodate a significant new feature for the pub, the electrical supply in the kitchen was upgraded. This robust enhancement was specifically designed to support the installation of a new, high-powered pizza oven, a key element of the venue’s refreshed culinary offering.
• Enhanced Comfort & Control:
  • A new extractor fan was fitted in the ladies’ toilets, improving ventilation and comfort for patrons.
  • New dimmer switches were installed across the pub, granting the venue precise control over mood lighting. This allows Snaffle Bit Bar to effortlessly adjust the ambiance from bright and welcoming during the day to a more intimate and relaxed setting in the evenings.
  • A new power supply was installed specifically for the darts board area, ensuring uninterrupted entertainment for patrons.

Mechanical Works

Our mechanical team focused on upgrading the pub’s heating infrastructure, ensuring optimal comfort and efficiency:

The existing heating system underwent a significant upgrade, enhancing its performance and reliability. Existing radiators were either refurbished or replaced, ensuring they were in excellent working order and contributing effectively to the venue’s heating.

Crucially, the old radiator heating valves, which were found to be below standard, were replaced with modern, efficient alternatives. This upgrade significantly improved the control and distribution of heat throughout the pub, ensuring a consistently comfortable environment for customers and staff alike.
