HF Controls was contracted to deliver Plant Life Extension (PLEX) upgrades for the control systems and software at a UK-based oil and coal-fired power station.
The original system relied on an obsolete Texas Instruments PLC with a physical operator mimic interface, which was no longer fit for purpose. Our team completed a full upgrade, installing a Siemens TIA Portal S7-1500 controller paired with an InTouch Wonderware SCADA front-end interface. The new interface retained the familiar layout of the old system, ensuring user familiarity and minimal training requirements.
