As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Stores Controller to join our team at Bredbury. If you have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
- Organising and maintaining inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Issuing materials to departments or production as per requisitions.
- Tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages, excess, or obsolete stock.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and performing regular stock reconciliations.
- Ensuring that all materials are stored safely and in accordance with company standards.
- Preparing reports such as stock status, inventory turnover, and material movement.
- Enforcement of store policies and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred (mobile telecoms or electrical industry knowledge preferred)
- Qualification in warehousing & storage or similar
- LOLER & PPE Inspections qualification
- Forklift license (B1 preferred)
- PUWER experience (preferred)
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
