Gas Fire Suppression Systems are one of the leading performance solutions for effective fire extinguishing.
Using a combination of inert gasses, vaporised liquids and chemical agents designed to control and extinguish dangerous fires, it is easy to understand why they are such a popular fire control system.
Using a system of fire detector units, an agent storage and delivery system, Gas Fire Suppression Systems are used primarily when water, foam or powder extinguishers are either not able to be used or are not effective in controlling and putting a fire out.
Where are Gas Fire Suppression Systems commonly used?

How does a Gas Suppression System Work?
Using a system of fire detector units, an agent storage and delivery system, Gas Fire Suppression Systems are used primarily when water, foam or powder extinguishers are either not able to be used or are not effective in controlling and putting a fire out. They extinguish fire by reducing the core heat of the fire, isolating the fuel source, reducing and cutting off the fires access to oxygen and by reducing the chemical reaction that causes more combustion to occur.
This multi step process is invaluable in providing fast acting fire suppression and is why it has become such a popular choice for fire fighting in Commercial and Industrial premises.
Are there risks associated with the system?
Dealing with a ‘cocktail’ of airborne gases and chemicals will always present risks. The CO2
system is hazardous to health and therefore can only be used in certain environments and mainly in site locations that have a low volume of employees/personnel or ideally none.
The system pumps CO2 into the rooms air to reduce the amount of oxygen in the room as one of the methods of fire control. It cannot be used in (for example) and office space filled with people.

Winter Maintenance for your boiler system Winter brings frosty mornings, snow-covered landscapes and unfortunately, freezing conditions that can wreak havoc on your heating systems. One of the most common issues our Mechanical Division deals with during winter is boiler breakdowns caused by frozen pipes. These failures can disrupt homes and businesses, leaving properties without heat […]
