Prioritising Safety on the Roads This Winter

As winter approaches, we are taking the opportunity to remind our team of the importance of safe driving, particularly in the challenging weather conditions that come with the colder months.

2. Vehicle Checks
   Make sure your vehicle is winter-ready. This includes checking tire pressure and tread depth, ensuring windshield wipers are functional, and that the windshield washer fluid is topped up with an anti-freeze mix.
3. Adjust Your Speed
   Icy and wet roads require slower speeds and greater stopping distances. Allow extra time to brake, accelerate gradually, and avoid sharp turns.
4. Pack Emergency Essentials
   Keep items such as a blanket, extra warm clothing, a torch, a shovel, and some non-perishable snacks in your vehicle. These can make a big difference if you encounter unexpected delays or need to wait for assistance.
5. Stay Alert and Focused
