Brief Project Description: We are proud to support Glasgow Warriors as both a trusted service provider and a valued sponsor of the Men’s and Women’s teams. Our partnership with the club extends across a wide range of services at Scotstoun Stadium. And with the rugby season now complete, it is time for the annual deconstruction of the temporary stands at either end of the rugby pitch.
This enables Scotstoun Stadium to revert to an athletics venue over the summer months, with its running track fully accessible for training and events.
As Scotstoun is a multi use sports facility, temporary stands are installed annually for the rugby season to boost capacity for Warriors home matches. As part of the seasonal changeover:
- HF electricians remove all electrical wiring installed in the temporary stands.
- Speaker systems are disconnected and removed, ready for safe storage.
- Lighting systems, including roof-mounted components, are dismantled and securely stored.
- All systems are prepared for efficient reinstallation in time for the following rugby season.
Our electricians work closely with the stadium’s stand setup and deconstruction crews to ensure a smooth project timeline but as always, safety is paramount:
All team members wear full safety PPE.
- Boom lifts and cherry pickers are used to access high-level electrical components safely.
- Work is carried out in accordance with strict site risk assessments and method statements.
- Clear coordination ensures that the project is delivered to the club’s schedule and standards.
Results
The annual deconstruction project is completed on time and safely each year.
All electrical components are securely stored and tested ahead of each new rugby season.
Our ongoing work with the club reflects HF’s commitment to supporting the Glasgow Warriors on and off the pitch as a valued sponsor and trusted service provider. The annual deconstruction of Scotstoun’s temporary stands is just one example of the many ways our electricians and engineers contribute to the smooth operation and continued success of the club’s facilities.
