Job Title: Fire & Security Electrician

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join the HF family in a permanent role that promises unique challenges, a varied workload and great career progression opportunities within the company.

We are currently looking to recruit a Fire & Security Electrician to join our Fire & Security division working out of our Glasgow branch.

The Position

You will have strong experience in the electrical industry and be happy to work in a team alongside like-minded individuals working to strict deadlines.

This is a long-term position within our Glasgow branch.

Ability to work on fire alarm systems is desirable, but not essential, training will be provided to the right candidate.

The Role

What you need

The successful candidate will be required to complete the following daily tasks:

  • Day to day repairs, fault finding and small installation works within primarily commercial properties.
  • Recording reports and time sheets via company issued smartphone
  • Logging details of works carried out on customer portals and apps as applicable
  • Compiling accurate & Details survey reports where applicable
  • Managing your workload, prioritising according to urgency and client expectations.
  • Maintaining high levels of communication with customers and service team

What you need

  • Valid 18th Edition & SJIB Grade (ECS) card
  • Wide experience of Installation and Maintenance works
  • Fault Finding capabilities
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Appreciation & understanding of all relevant aspects of Health & Safety
  • A full clean driving license
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility & versatility
  • Willingness to work away from home
  • Willingness to work overtime as and when required

Desirable assets

  • Fire alarm experience
  • Emergency lighting experience

37.50 hours per week Mon-Friday + Overtime as and when required – On Call Rota System in place.
