We are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Test & Inspection engineer to join our Electrical Division based out of our Glasgow branch.

Salary negotiable upon experience.

The position

You will have strong experience in the electrical industry and be happy to work in a team alongside like-minded individuals working to strict deadlines.

This is a long-term position within our Glasgow branch.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the following daily tasks:

  • Carrying out electrical test and inspection to current standards
  • Completing test certification online using NICEIC software
  • Compiling accurate & detailed survey reports for remedial works.
  • Liaising with customers about scope of work, coordinating power outages and advising them of any
  • potential issues that may arise while on site.
  • Managing your workload, liaising with management and service team about expected timescales & overruns where applicable.

What you need

  • Valid 18th Edition & SJIB Grade (ECS) card
  • C&G 2391/2394/2395 qualification
  • Wide experience of periodic inspection & testing & compiling Electrical Installation Condition reports
  • Excellent knowledge of current regulations
  • Competency with smartphone, computer and web-based software packages
  • Fault Finding capabilities
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Appreciation & understanding of all relevant aspects of Health & Safety
  • A full clean driving license
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • A positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility & versatility
  • Willingness to work away from home

Desirable assets

    • PAT / Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting testing experience
    • Access equipment certificates
    • Compex/First Aid qualifications
    • Further Education in Electrical Engineering
    • Leadership experience

Benefits/Additional Perks

Competitive salary and benefits package.

37.50 hours per week Mon-Friday + Overtime as and when required – On Call Rota System in place.
Company uniform, PDA and van will be provided.
