COP stands for ‘Conference of the Parties’ and is attended by the countries who are members of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC).
COP26 will be held between the 31st October and the 12th of November in Glasgow and is running a year later than originally planned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With an estimated 30,000 people attending, and with the ongoing environmental issues, it expected to be the biggest climate event since the Paris Agreement in 2015.
