We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join the HF family in a permanent role that promises unique challenges, a varied workload and great career progression opportunities within the company.

We are currently looking to recruit an Air Conditioning Technical Services Manager to assist in leading and developing our air-conditioning department. This can be based from either the Glasgow or Edinburgh offices so the right candidate could work from the East or the West.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the following tasks

• Regular contact with clients to keep them updated
• Overseeing projects through to completion
• Site visits to survey for small works
• Preparing cost pricing and estimates for remedial works from ppm visits & clients requests
• Providing technical advice to engineers and clients alike
• Organising installations and commissioning
• Liasing with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
• Site visits and client meetings
• Prepare completed works for invoicing

Personal Attributes

Problem solving – you will have an excellent ability to identify and implement the best solutions to problems.
• Ability to offer and implement continuous business improvement – implementing both in business practice and engineer development, to improve delivered service with the aim of reducing client service downtime across an extensive variety of sectors.
Facilities Management – you will have a comprehensive knowledge of building service and controls across an extensive variety of sectors.
Leadership – you will be an excellent communicator providing clear and comprehensive instruction to team members. Strong ability to motivate team members by leading by example, providing encouragement and support.
Energy Management – experience and accredited TM44 air conditioning energy assessor with a proven record of identifying energy savings within client’s premises would be beneficial but not essential.
Project Management – you will have an extensive experience of managing projects from initial survey and tender through to completion, liaising with clients and engineers throughout to ensure works are carried out to the highest standard to meet and exceed client expectations.
Commercial – you will have a strong business acumen with an understanding of client operations and requirements whilst identifying and developing opportunities to develop both business and revenue growth.
Scottish Health Technical Memorandum – knowledge and any certification in SHTM would be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of all types of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems
• Good experience of MS packages in particular excel & word
• Smart and tidy appearance

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 2079 Category One F-Gas and ODS Regulations
• IOSH Managing Safety City & Guilds 7671:2018
• 18th Edition requirements for electrical installations
• Elected member of the institute of refrigeration
• SVQ level 2 small commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• SVQ lever 2 mechanical engineering manufacturer
• UKATA Asbestos awareness training
